I am a Masters in Computer Science student at the University of California San Diego (expected graduation: June 2023). I am interested in the field of software development, parallel and distributed computing, and machine learning systems. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, India. During my time at BITS, I took up courses and projects from different areas and developed an interest in the area of Large Scale Software Systems and Machine Learning. I have interned at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education which was my first experience of working on a large-scale project in a team. I have also worked at Goldman Sachs as a Summer Analyst where I got to apply concepts of Parallel Computing (Foster’s Design Methodology) while developing a pluggable email scanner. After my undergraduate, I worked at American Express AI Labs as an AI Researcher. Here I was exposed to the field of ML Systems and I wish to explore the field further during my Masters. I will be starting my Masters in Computer Science at UC San Diego this Fall 2021.

My academic and professional experiences have exposed me to the avenues of social impact, software development, and research. Motivated by my experiences in the short term, I want to lead the development of end-to-end scalable software systems impacting society on a large scale. This experience will help me achieve my long-term vision of working on products with a positive social impact.

I have quickly picked up on tools/frameworks used at my workplace and led the design of several applications ranging from web applications for students to high-impact business user-focused tools and algorithms. In specific products, I have swiftly designed, developed, and tweaked features according to user requirements. My focus is always on delivering features on time while ensuring robustness.
